Hypothesis testing

The basic idea of hypothesis testing :

• We want to prove that $H_a$$H_a$ is true. but to prove that $H_a$$H_a$ is true, we need to prove $H_a$$H_a$ is true for all the population, it is not possible.

• So, we can try to do the opposite: We can prove that the opposite of $H_a$$H_a$ is wrong (by rejecting it’s opposite $H_0$$H_0$), then we can also get the same result –> $H_a$$H_a$ is correct.
